Every year, large volumes of plastic waste are generated from life-saving medical treatments such as dialysis. Much of this material—especially hollow fiber membranes from dialysis filters—is traditionally treated as infectious waste and incinerated.
But what if we could change that? At Gshine Welltech Corp. (吉祥資源科技), we have been working on a solution to transform this challenge into an opportunity.
By developing advanced material modification technology, we can convert infectious dialysis plastic waste into high-quality Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) green materials, enabling these materials to re-enter the industrial value chain.
We are honored that this innovation has been recognized with the Innovative Technology – Excellence Award at the 6th Taiwan Circular Economy Awards, organized by the Center for Green Economy.
